Percutaneous Ethanol Injection
(PEI) is a type of liver cancer treatment in which alcohol (90%) is
injected directly into the cancer cells through the abdomen.
Preparing for the procedure:

Patient must refrain from taking Aspirin at least
1 week before the procedure. |

Patient must refrain from eating and drinking
after 12 am (midnight) or at least 12 hours before the prior to the
