How the eyes work
Our ability to see occurs when
light enters the eye through the cornea and bends (refracting) so that the
image falling onto the retina is sharply focused. If the focusing powers
of the cornea and lens aren't coordinated with the length or shape of the
eyeball, the image is blurry, which means there is a vision problem |

LASIK is a revolutionary
vision correcting surgical procedure that is used to permanently treat

is carefully repositioned and sealed together in just minutes without

Laser reduces the curvature of the cornea, and for farsightedness,
increases the curvature. For astigmatism, it smoothens the curvature of
the cornea in order for the light rays to focus more precisely on the
retina, resulting in a sharper vision.
Since the Excimer Laser uses a
cool beam of light that reacts only on the area that it touches, it cannot
travel through the cornea into the eye and cause danger to the nearby
tissue or the inner part of the eye. |
